SDA Dept. Asked to Accelerate Inundation Handling

City Council Commission D asks Water Resources (SDA) Dept. to improve their performance by handling several inundation spots during rainy season.

Commission D Chairman, Iman Satria said, several SDA Dept.'s projects such as building retaining wall, ditch, and river normalization could be done as soon as possible to minimize inundation occurrence.

"We ask SDA Dept. to be more focused in handling inundation, especially areas that are prone to flood," he said, Monday (11/13).

Anies to Inventory Problems of River Normalization

He added, his side is ready to support SDA Dept. decision in handling flood in Jakarta.

"We will back up any decisions if needed to complete that work," he added.

Neneng Hasanah, member from the same commission added, SDA Dept. should be optimal in handling inundation and flood.

"They must be optimal in completing several works such as retaining wall repair and channel normalization," she closed.
